This page outlines the plan for continued therapy with William Arendell, LCSW (Will) during the outbreak of a virus. Should you choose to self-isolate, quarantine, or if there is a recommended quarantine, WIlliam Arendell, LCSW will continue all sessions using VSEE, as they were originally scheduled. VSEE is like Skype or Face Time for the medical community. Follow this link https://my.vsee.com/download to download VSEE for Windows or MAC. VSEE can be downloaded on Android and Apple phones or tablets. If you have not had a VSEE session before, Will is going to call you by phone at the appointment time first to make sure VSEE is working or to help you set up VSEE. For VSEE sessions, please be waiting for a call at the appointment time in a location where you will not be disturbed and be ready to focus only on the work in the session. Headphones are recommended, but not necessary.

If Orleans Parish school board closes the schools, or there is a mass quarantine, then Will is going to be conducting only VSEE sessions. At this time, Will is recommending that any immune-compromised individuals may want to start with VSEE sessions for their next session. Will is also recommending that you follow precautions from the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and local governments.

Can I continue my regular therapy? Yes, all treatment except biofeedback can be continued with some slight modifications by VSEE. EMDR works very well this way and Will has been doing EMDR by VSEE for some time now.

Why should I continue therapy during this time? Progress can still be made during very stressful times and setbacks can be prevented. Reducing your stress can help your immune system. Will has been very helpful using relaxation exercises and hypnosis to help those in physical distress.

Please make sure you have at least 30 days of medication on hand.
